You smile in my success
You cry for my fall
You are always with me
Whether I jump, walk or crawl….

Surrounded with friends
Unnoticed you were
I would ignore you always
After a few seconds of stare..

Now that I am locked
All accesses and communications blocked
I have got the time
And you have the light of lime….

I thought
you would not speak
For your company
I did not seek…..

You hugged me so tight
And suddenly I felt so light
You knew all my scar
And I was the one who pushed you far….

Where were you all the while?
I asked you in a fancy style…
Right here – you said
I have always lived in your heart and head…

Taken aback
I introspected myself
All I gathered
Was that you were always willing to help…

Why didn’t I speak to you before
Why didn’t I ever try to understand you more?
Searching for a friend outside
I forgot I already have one inside…

I always wanted
Someone who will know how I feel
Looking at my eyes
Someone who can tell it is real or a reel…

I cribbed and cried
But could not find at all
Right here you were
Just at a distance of closing my eyes and a quick mind’s call…

That’s when I realized
What my mom always said
When in doubt
Try asking your heart and your head…!!

All these years
I was in search of you
But you were within
And I had no clue…!

Now that I know
I will always have a friend
Who will guide me through out life
Until our journey comes to an end …!!!
